The title of the program
will be Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.). The
program will be introduced as
B.C.A. Part I w.e.f. the academic year 2007-08, B.C.A.
Part II w.e.f. 2008-09, B.C.A. Part III w.e.f. 2009-10.

Eligibility
for Admission : In order to be eligible for admission to Bachelor of
Computer Applications
(B.C.A.),
a candidate must have passed
(a) H.S.C.
(10+2) from the any stream with English as passing
subject with minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
(b) 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy Course of Board of
Technical Education, conducted by Govt. of Maharashtra
or its equivalent
(c)
3 years Diploma Course (after S.S.C. i.e. Standard
10th ), of Board of Technical Education conducted
by Govt. of Maharashtra or its equivalent.
(d) MCVC

Every eligible candidate has to pass CET to be
conducted by the University of Pune.

Duration
: The duration
of the Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.) degree
program shall be Three
years divided into
Six Semesters.

Objectives
: The objective
of the program shall be to provide sound academic base
from which as
advanced career in Computer
Applications can be developed. Conceptual grounding
in computer usage as well as its practical business
application will
be provided.

The Bachelor
of Computer Applications (B.C.A.) examination will
be 3600 marks divided
in three
parts as per details
given below :
1) B.C.A. Part I (Sem
I & II) : Aggregate
marks 1200
2) B.C.A. Part II (Sem III & IV) : Aggregate
marks 1200
3) B.C.A. Part III (Sem V & VI) : Aggregate
marks 1200
For course in practicals (Sem I to V), there
will be practical examination of 20 marks.
For course
on project
work, there
will be oral presentation test consisting of
20 marks & written
report of 80 marks (Course no. 635, 636)

The candidate will be allowed to keep term (A.T.K.T.),
if failed in maximum 4 theory papers or 3 Theory & 1
Practical. The candidate will be allowed to 3rd Year
if he/she CLEARS ALL THE PAPERS of 1st Year.

Standard
of Passing and Award of Class : In
order to pass in the examination, a candidate
has to
obtain 40 marks out
of 100 (Sem-end Exam. 80 + Class work marks
20
taken together) The class will be awarded
to be basis aggregate
marks obtained
by him/her for all the three years (Parts
I, II, III) examination taken together.
