BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR SOCIETY
Shri Shivaji Maratha Society has been
working for providing educational opportunities & facilities
to the common masses since 1918. It was officially
registered in 1921
under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and also
under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 under the able
guidance
of His Highness Chhatrapati Shrimant Late Shahu Maharaj
of Kolhapur. The Society is established in Pune in
the memory of the Great Maratha Warrior King-Chhatrapati
Shivaji Maharaj who spent his childhood in & around
Pune.
Shri Shivaji
Maratha Society has made rapid strides in education
to keep pace with changing policies
of Globalization
and Privatization. The educational institutes under
the umbrella of Shri Shivaji Maratha Society continuously
strive to provide Infrastructural facilities to the
students while
imparting high educational standards to have an edge
in the Competitive World Market. Today the society
runs around
25 Schools, Colleges and Hostels under its umbrella,
Where more than 20,000 students are pursuing their
education
right from Pre-Primary to Post-Graduate level.

the Principal & Desk Dear Student’s
 Congrats
on passing your exams. At the same time let me also welcome
you to Jedhe College. We have Arts, Commerce
and Science College at Under Graduate Level and M.Com.
at Post Graduate Level. The students who opt to make
career and future in either of these faculties will be provided
every opportunity and avenue to fulfill their needs that
they have in mind.

Sukhai” (For the Upliftment of the Masses)
being the mission statement of the Society, we too follow the same. In today’s
world of fierce competition, our belief is that the Indian Economy is on the
up trend, we are witnessing a healthy growth across all the sectors.
The College has various value added programs and schemes, which a student
can avail of for the benefit of his/her overall development as required in
this
fierce competitive world. Three years back, a Computer Institute was started
in our campus. I am glad to inform you that many candidates have taken the
advantage
of various courses run by the Institute. I hope you too would take the advantage
available and be ready to face the Challenges coming your way.

PROFILE OF THE COLLEGE
Our College
was founded in June 1984 in the memory of Samaj Bhushan
Baburao Alias Appasaheb Jedhe . “Bahujan
Hitaay Bahujan Sukhai” (For the Upliftment
of the Masses) being the mission statement of the Society,
all
the institutes
follow
the same. All the institutes run by the society are engaged
in the task of providing equal opportunities to everyone
in the field of education. The college has maintained its
unique
identity irrespective of financial or academic
background, with the main objective of imparting quality
professional education to all the strata of the society
in general.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The aim of the institution is to impart a sound moral, physical
and intellectual training to boys and girls and help them
to develop their individual personality so that they may
turn out to be useful and responsible citizens of the country.
The college aims at creating efficiency and self-confidence
in students and offers them ample scope for self-activity,
growth and development.

Wing of the college which offers ‘Under
Graduate’ B.A., B.Com. B.Sc. (Micro Biology), B.C.A.,
B.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Micro-Biology) and ‘Post
Graduate’ (M.Com) Courses in Arts, Commerce & Science
is affiliated to the University of Pune and is recognized
by the Government of Maharashtra.
